The BFD is Looking for You.
The Brighton Fire Department (Located in Rochester New York) is seeking volunteer firefighters
and non -operational associate members
to be part of our team.
Be part of one of Monroe County's finest organizations.
Training and all necessary equipment is provided at no cost to
you. The BFD is currently accepting applications to become a
volunteer firefighter or a non operational associate member.
Basic Requirements Getting started with the BFD as a volunteer...
At least 18 years of age.
Be a US Citizen
No
experience required for new members.
Complete application to include
Physical exam along with a
Criminal
& Arson background check.
Completion of basic
orientation training.
Completion of New York
State Firefighter I Course. All training provided free of
charge.
Attendance at fire
calls, monthly meetings & special events
Getting
Started as an Associate member...
At least 18 years of age.
Be a US Citizen.
Should have a skill that will
benefit the Department.
